Parents/Guardians,

I trust this email finds you well and healthy. We have tried sending this email all morning. If you are receiving this email, the NYC Department of Education and Nassau Country School Districts have decided to close schools in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York City.  In order to ensure students are on task with the curriculum, we have taken the liberty of creating an at-home curriculum that follows some of the planned core subjects. Guidelines regarding remote learning will follow in the coming days however, the Department of Education has created a letter and resource packet for Kindergarten children. Please use this as a resource in the meantime. The link can be found below. Link for DOE Resource Packet:

In such times, Our Kids Place also worries about the social and emotional stability of its young learners, therefore, we will be meeting tomorrow with staff to plan effective ways to continue our work to support our young learners and their families.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank You!

Parents/Guardians,

Good Afternoon! I trust this email finds you well and healthy. We have tried sending this email all morning without success. If you are receiving this email, NYC Department of Education and Nassau County School Districts have decided to close schools in light of the COVID-19 pandemic in New York.  The NYC Department of Education has created a letter and resource packet for early learners. Please use this as a resource to support your young learners at home during this period. The link can be found below.

In such times, Our Kids Place worries about the social and emotional stability of its young learners, therefore we will be meeting tomorrow with staff to plan effective ways to continue our work to support our young learners and their families. Such as remote storytime, circle time, etc.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank You!

In light of the recent developments with the COVID-19 virus, we have decided to close our schools starting tomorrow, March 16th through March 27th. Our tentative date to return will be March 30th. However, as this situation continues to develop, we may extend this time. Additional information regarding remote learning will follow.

Be well!

-Your OKP Family.

OKP FAMILY,

After careful consideration, Our Kids Place has decided to remain open to any healthy student who needs childcare. As of right now, our decision is based on OCFS’s lack of mandate to close any of its programs. Please be assured, our teachers are thoroughly trained to keep our school safe and clean.

Today, our cleaning company is in the building with extra team members, sanitizing and cleaning our space. If your child shows ANY symptoms of the COVID-19 virus (coughing, sneezing, fever, and/ or difficulty breathing), they will need to stay home.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. As always, our first priority is the well-being of our staff and students. We thank you for your support during these unsettling times.

See you tomorrow!

Mrs. Merlyn Peters, CEO
